The seven-day water-only fast
In 2023 the Holy Spirit told Michael that a seven-day, water-only fast would substitute for a prolonged season of brokenness and activate an outpouring of the Spirit’s gifts.
What this is — and is not
Brokenness, in Scripture and in Michael’s life, is not self-hatred. It is the end of managing God. It is the white flag. Charles Stanley saw it again and again: people entered the Spirit-filled life years after salvation, after struggle and desperation, when yieldedness finally cleared the way.
A week of water is not a trick to skip the cross. It is a consecrated doorway — a way to agree with what the Spirit already intends to do. Fast only as the Lord leads, and with wisdom about your health.
